When I first started this blog I really wasn't sure what I really wanted it to be. I wanted to be helpful in bringing new ideas of how to save money. Show how anyone can be creative. I wanted to shed light on being a mother and share my experiences that others might be able to relate to. So I am starting fresh this holiday season....
Its has been a very busy year for our family. My husband and I decided in April of this year that we would move our family to Utah where my husband can attend college to follow his dream of becoming an English teacher. I was so thrilled that he decided what he wanted to be when he grew up. I am sadly still trying to figure that one out. My parents offered to let us rent the basement apartment while he attends school. Very grateful for their willingness to let us take over their home:) We spent a while weighing all the options, pros and cons of leaving a place we have come to love so much. After deliberation we made the life changing decision to move in July of this year. We have been here for 4 months and we are on the path of adjustment. We love it here and love being with my family and my husbands extended family that we wouldn't normally wouldn't see as often. My husband is a full time student and works all the time.
I am busy being a mom to a 2, 3 and 16 year old. Which keeps me busy 24/7 but it is the best thing in the world. When we moved my step son stayed with his mom and that is the worst part about moving. We miss him so much! Luckily he is so brave at 8 years old that he hoped a plane and flew here for 2 weeks:) We are all together again, missing of course our little angel that watching over us from above.
So often we get wrapped up in surviving the demanding world we live in. When we were young we couldn't wait to grow up. Seemed so much better...then you become an adult and realize how badly we wish we could just run out side and build a fort with your friends. I keep telling my kids to enjoy being young. I tell my 16 year old that I will fight for her childhood even if she won't. She wants to grow up so fast and I just want to protect her from the harsh world that is in her near future. At the end of each day I remind myself that the only thing that truly matters in this world is family and protecting your children. The world is becoming a scary place and I want nothing more then my children to live a happy life and a safe one.
So this Holiday Season hold your children tight and fight for your their happiness. I think during this time its impossible not to count your many blessings. I am looking forward to the magic this holiday season brings. I am grateful for all my amazing blessings.
I am looking forward to starting my blog back up now that our lives have settled down some.
